In 1999 Jake and I came home from our respective colleges for Thanksgiving break and we went on a walk. Holding hands and figuring out if we could really do a long distance relationship and also do we really want to have a long distance relationship? Well, the answer was YES and here we are 11 years later! I love that we share the same high school memories and hometown. It definitely made the long distance thing work to have a ‘home’ base called Mankato. Oh sweet sweet Kato!
Jake gave me this sweet necklace this morning to celebrate. At one point I got a paper bag with an “8″ on it for an anniversary gift (8 is my favorite number so he was being thoughtful but a BAG? come on Jake!)! He has come a long way!
