hustle and bustle

Friday December 24, 2010

If I was blogging like I used to be, you would know that I have been ridiculously busy.

But I’m not the blogger I was in 2005 (whoa) so you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.

These last few weeks have been full of family and friends and Holiday party prep with lots of baking and cooking as well as Holiday letters, photos, cards, gifts, travel and everything else in between preparation.

And just so you know Holiday Party Prep is hard core at the Ingman household and I de-clutter, organize, and decorate the entire house including the silverware drawer. It is exhausting but oh so worth it when the house is ready and full of friends and family!

So in all the hustle and bustle some of the Holiday cards are being hand delivered and some are going in the mail a little late.

Because I appreciate you — here is a sneak peek for the special few that are my chit chat regulars.

Dear friends and family,

I love the hustle and bustle, everything happening at once, preparations of giving and gathering. It brings everything full circle and marks the important traditions that bring family and friends together once again.

The annual Holiday Party we have thrown for our friends these past five years just keeps getting bigger and better — and our little house stays cozy and warm into the wee hours of the morning. As I type, we are a few hours away from heading home to spend the next five days in a Mankato Holiday Marathon seeing everyone and eating too many cookies.

I’ve been busy this past year with Ingman Photography, my wedding and portrait photography business – it’s really been taking off! I couldn’t be happier. It feels so good to be doing something I truly enjoy. Jake continues his work as a freelance web developer and designer. He and I share the office (2nd bedroom in our house) and are 6 feet apart all day long. I want to talk all day and he wants to think up new ideas. Our lovable dog, Judy, is still our favorite part of each day – she is quirky like Jake and obsessive compulsive like me. She is hilarious.

We are heading to Edinburgh, Scotland Dec. 29 – Jan. 7th to visit our good friends Matt and Jen and we cannot wait to ring in 2011 with friends!

We hope this New Year brings much happiness and many joys to your family!

Love, Anne and Jake

p.s. A little secret as a virtual holiday gift: Judy was not with us when we took this photo! You might remember it from this.

Oh the magic of Photoshop.

Happy Holidays and here I come 2011!
