My desk was moved today and I am a new woman. Tonight I visit a woman in Minneapolis who is selling a painting on craigslist. Maybe for the new office? Maybe for the new house?
Who knows? Who cares? I feel great!

my office
Friday April 13, 2007
Recently I have been completely distracted by how ugly my office is – seriously distracted. It is a cute little office with a window, high ceilings and a closet (it used to be a real nuns bedroom). I just know it could be so much better, so today I spent (hours) thinking about how to change it. I am going to have some things removed tomorrow and my desk rearranged and I am going to bring in some of my framed art and a lamp and some plants. I mean, come on – this is where I spend most of my day and it needs to reflect who I am!
Things are going to start to change, and let’s face it, so is my level of productivity.
I took this photo months ago but I thought it was relevant because that is me actually in my office.

This is the back bedroom in the new house. Notice the backyard peaking through the window. This is outside the gates of Harvard in Boston. Notice the woman waiting for the bus.
This is on the bridge between Cambridge and Boston. Notice that guys red shoes.
This is on a street in Boston. Notice that water bottle by the curb…or how much that little girl does not want to get into that minivan.

Here is another shot of me getting my haircut at Ester’s. Ester is my Mom’s hairdresser of like, 30 years or something, and she is pretty amazing. An artist and wonderfully interesting woman. I like her. Here is Jake about to eat the head of this carrot cake bunny. Isn’t it cute? Notice the words on his t-shirt – what you can’t see is the bar of soap graphic on the t-shirt.
I was in Boston a few weeks ago – Casey and I are on the campus of Harvard in this photo. Don’t we look smart?
And this one might be my favorite – this is Verla, the dog, Allisa, the mom and Thelma, the almost 2 year old. I love how much they all love each other in this moment!
