Basically, Charley has turned our life upside down, backwards and forwards, and zig-zaggy straight!
And everyday I’m trying to figure out how to life this new life. It’s hard — because my emotions are all over the place.
Luckily, we honestly have the sweetest baby EVER. He is good. Real good.
There is so much more to say, but for now this is what I’ve got (a back posted March post to pretend like I’ve got it all together).
Charley’s first sink bath from Grandma Mary and Aunt Kate!
So much cuteness.
p.s. He’s totally filling out this outfit! Full belly baby!
Yesterday, Charley turned six weeks old, and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. There is so much to say about how our life has changed…how we’re transitioning into parents, and life with a new baby. So many sweet moments that make me feel like we’re the only people in the world, and that nothing else matters.
It feels like time is flying by, and Charley is changing from moment to moment. He wasn’t even two weeks old when we had newborn photos taken by Melissa Oholendt Photography, and we are beyond thankful for the beautiful images she captured. It’s amazing to see how much he’s grown. These photos will forever remind me of this incredibly special time – don’t we look like we’ve got it all together? We were showered and dressed in real clothes, and Judy even had a bath!
We didn’t have it all together. We were 12 days into an epic life event, and just hoping Charley wouldn’t poop in his cute outfits.
We still have no idea what we’re doing or how we’re going to do it — but sometimes it doesn’t matter. We get to call him ours, and that is the most amazing feeling ever.

Charles ‘Charley’ Gordon Ingman born after 84 hours of long and hard labor at home, Health Foundations Birth Center, and United Hospital.
We welcomed him into our family at 11:42 am on New Year’s Eve! He was 7 lbs. 13 oz. of life changing amazing.
We couldn’t be happier or more in love with him – he is beyond anything words can describe.
We feel so lucky!
